REGION 8
Recognizing Member Accomplishments:
The Arabian Horse Association of New Mexico held their Awards Banquet on January 9 and presented dozens of awards in seven major categories, plus an Ambassador Award and Overall High Point Awards in four categories. It was a very festive evening that included a silent auction, door prizes and wonderful decorations. Visit the High Point tab on the AHANM website, to see all the awards.
The Eastern Kansas Arabian Horse Association held their High Point Banquet January 30. The theme was "Arabian Nights," and festivities included the Awards Ceremony, competitive Bingo, a silent auction and a raffle.
Shows around the Region:
March 19-20 -- Chamisa Classic ODS series, including main ring A & B Concurrent, Sport Horse, and Dressage; Expo NM, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sport Horse and Dressage shows qualify for Region 8. March 25-27 -- Deseret A & B Concurrent, Salt Lake County Eq Fairground, Salt Lake City, Utah. Dual qualifying show for Regions 8 and 7. More information can be found here.
March 26-27 -- Sunflower Arabian ODS I & II, A & B Concurrent, Expocenter, Topeka, Kansas. Dual qualifying show for Regions 8 and 6. More information can be found here.
April 1-3 -- Green Country Spring Fling A & B Concurrent, Tulsa State Fairgrounds, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dual qualifying show for Regions 8 and 9. More information can be found here.

REGION 9
The Gulf Coast Arabian Horse Club has two upcoming shows scheduled for 2016. One designed to appeal to those who wish to take their horses and practice at an OPEN show (Spring Fling) with all breeds, and another CLASS A show (Autumn Classic) for Arabians and Half-Arabians.
Spring Fling Open Horse Show
